For the past several years, Sam and I have gone to the Candlelight holiday event downtown. It's always a fun time with great entertainment, sweet treats, and amazing ambiance. I've always thought it was a great date night, and we have always loved to walk around the candle-lit pathways and smell the delicious air each year. Some years we go alone, some years we go with friends, but this year, we went with Banner. It was kind of fitting (and ironic) to go to this event on the first night of Hanukkah... they do celebrate Hanukkah there, but it's way more Christmas than Hanukkah. It was also cool to be at the event with all the lit candles only to go home and light the candles on the menorah for the first night of Hanukkah.
There are fun things happening around the event, but Sam's favorite is always the blacksmith. My favorite is always the music at the church. And, I think Banner's favorite was definitely the kettle corn! He wouldn't stop asking for more, more, more. He also got to smell the delicious latkes at the only Jewish house at the museum. We didn't get to taste any, but we did get the recipe! :) Also, Sam's firm sponsored the entertainment at the church, so it was fun to see his firm's logo and see his name in the program!
Here are a few pictures from our fun evening!
