Back in April, I started planning our summer. It's over now, and that makes me sad. We truly had one of the best summers, and I have to say I'm proud of myself for actually following through on every activity I had planned (minus the 2-3 we couldn't due to illness). Some were fails (like when we tried to go to Farmer's Market
all the way downtown for Wee Little Wednesdays and either never found the event or they had cancelled it without posting that publicly), but most brought new experiences and so much joy to my kiddos. Knox and I had so much time together just us, and I'm glad we were able to venture out as we dropped his morning nap in June. August was another hit of a month! It was short since I was back to work pretty early on in the month, but we made the most of our time together. And, since it's not quite over yet, I do have one more fun weekend planned for the boys this weekend. Banner's been begging to go to the aquarium, so we have plans to do that this weekend and perhaps one more trip to the big pools. But, it's time to say goodbye to Camp Mommy - at least until Thanksgiving break! :)
So, what did we do this month? Banner finished up a rec center karate course, Knox finished up his rec center swim classes, we continued My Gym with Knox, we went to some fun venues for the first time, and finished up camp for Banner & Quinn. One of my new favorite things we started this month was Friday Family Film Fest OR Saturday/Sunday Cinema. The big boys stay up and watch a movie in our bed, and they are allowed to sleep there all night. We've watched and cuddled through some awesome movies: Big, Parent Trap, Jungle Book, Cheaper by the Dozen, Dolphin Tale, and Beauty and the Beast. It's been pretty fun rematching these movies with my kids. But, anyway, on to August pictures!
